Moss and Fungi

The weather held, in spite of the forecast for rain, and taking advantage of this mini drought we again headed off on a trail. This one was all flat and through LOTR country. When we got bored with looking for characters out of the movie we started noticing the vast array of mosses and fungi that inhabited this rather unusual landscape. The pictures tell the rest of this story.
